The first book Will checked out from the library was about how airplanes and rockets fly. He was unable to read it, so his mom read it to him; he still remembers the pictures. It took him 20 years to gain sufficient education to understand it.

Wayne has been blessed to be married to his best friend for 39 years. Throughout the years, he has enjoyed traveling, camping, and hiking with his family. One Christmas Eve, Veronica’s family had a “white elephant” gift exchange. She was gifted “Fish and Chips”: an actual live fish and a bag of chips! He currently serves as Community Ambassador for the Economic Development Corporation of Utah.
Val earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from BYU in public relations and communications. He has been active in the community, serving on many boards. He and his wife, Nancy, have three children and 13 grandchildren and enjoy golf, skiing, snowshoeing, backpacking, pickleball, woodworking, and riding a tandem bike.
